On many Shabbat mornings, members of Alyth come together to study in one of our Shiurim before the Shacharit service.  These are mainly taught by one of the Clergy team, or by members of the community with special interests, and invited guests.

Among the subjects of our shiurim are the weekly Torah portion or haftarah, midrash, Talmud (including ‘Sugyot that every Educated Jew should know’) and issues in current Jewish life.

Everyone is welcome to attend, no matter your level of Jewish knowledge.  We study texts in English, with the teacher making reference to the Hebrew texts when interesting or necessary.

Shiurim are held in the library from 09.15 – 10.15
