Our programme of short courses for those looking to consolidate the learning of a lifetime, or coming to Judaism afresh. The courses run on Tuesday evenings in term time.
Taught by Alyth’s clergy with Jon Epstein it is open to everyone in the community, as well as to those preparing for conversion to Judaism. Together we approach Judaism as adults studying and discussing to find meaning for ourselves in ancient texts and practices.
Over the course of a year we explore almost every aspect of Jewish life, with multiple opportunities to join the class over the year.
Short courses:
Jewish Calendar
Texts
Jewish History
Ritual and practice
Life cycle
Introductory sessions on the Jewish festivals are interspersed throughout the course at appropriate times in the calendar
If you would like to come, or would like to discuss conversion to Judaism, please contact Rabbi Elliott Karstadt
Classes are held every Tuesday evening in term time. Currently running online, 20.00 – 21.00
