AYS in Scotland
From October 27 – 30 October the Alyth Youth Singers visited Scotland for their annual choir tour.
The tour included concerts at Burnfield Jewish care home in Glasgow, Glasgow Reform Synagogue, Sukkat Shalom Liberal Jewish Community in Edinburgh and Carlops Town Hall. The singers also enjoyed meeting the various communities where they performed.
Along with performing the singers visited many of Glasgow and Edinburgh’s sights. They had guided tours of: Glasgow Cathedral, Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh’s Mary King Close Tunnels and a walking tour of Edinburgh.
We all had a wonderful time in Scotland, meeting the friendly locals, eating at some brilliant restaurants and singing for appreciative audiences.
I am already looking forward to next year’s trip.
