Kindergarten “Twins Circle Time”

Our Kindergarten hosted a special Twins Circle Time on 8 January for children in K1 (aged 2-3 years) and from K2 (aged 3-4 years). Deputy Head, Tor Alter, organised the event to coincide with the K1 topic, ‘My Family’.

5 sets of twins (identical and non-identical) from the kindergarten ranging from 1 – 47 years old (which included pupils, teachers, parents and teacher’s daughters) shared sentimental stories and photographs with the children.

Twin parents Laura Green and Jaime Minter Green who both have children in the kindergarten shared a funny story, “I greeted my sister whilst looking through a glass door and ran to greet her but I was looking at my own reflection and bumped into the door”.

Deputy Head Tor Alter whose twin sister Sar Bergman is a teacher at the Kindergarten reminded the children that they called Sar “the other Tor”.

The Head of Kindergarten, Cindy Summer commented: ”When I first arrived at Alyth, I had so much difficulty separating Tor from her sister but thank goodness as I have got to know them, I am aware of their differences and don’t get so mixed up anymore. I love the way our twins support each other, both the adults (parents and children) and shower attention on each other. This is the first time we have celebrated our twins at Alyth and it was a huge success!
