Abbie Hass receives her Yoni Jesner Award
Abbie received her Yoni Jesner Award on Thursday 2 July from Marsha Gladstone, mother of Yoni. Abbie won the award by volunteering at Alyth. She said: “to get my Yoni Jesner award I had to work hard but it was worth it because I really wanted to achieve my goal of 20 hours of volunteering. I did all the volunteering at Alyth but the thing I liked the most was helping at the Shalom Suppers. I helped my mum and the other volunteers to cook and serve the food and I really liked talking to the guests when I was pushing the trolley around giving people seconds and thirds. Everyone was really nice and so even though I was really tired at the end of each shabbat dinner, I was really happy”.
Congratulations Abbie!
